Carrier Agreement
Last updated: 8 September 2026
You accept this agreement each time you post a trip or accept a package as a Carrier.
This agreement sits alongside our Terms of Service. Your full obligations as a Carrier are set out in clause 6 of the Terms. This page highlights the points that matter most, and confirms that you understand them. If anything here differs from the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service apply.
1. What you are agreeing to do
You are agreeing to carry an item for another person, on a journey you were already making, in return for a fee you agree directly with the Sender.
Tezly is not your employer, your client or your principal. You are not providing a service to Tezly. The agreement to carry the item is between you and the Sender.
You may refuse any package, at any time before you accept it, for any reason.
2. You inspect before you accept
You must see what is inside the package before you accept it.
Do not accept a package that is sealed, that you cannot open, or whose contents you have not been able to verify. Do not accept a package if the Sender's description does not match what you see.
If you accept a package without inspecting it, you accept responsibility for whatever is inside it.
3. You are the person at the border
If your journey crosses a customs border, you are the person who presents the item to customs. That makes you responsible for making any required declaration and for paying any duty, import tax or charge that becomes due.
Duty-free allowances for travellers are intended for goods carried for your own use, for your family, or as a gift from you. An item you carry for someone else may fall outside those allowances, whether or not you are paid for carrying it. In that case, tax may be due from the first unit of value.
Tell the Sender what charges you expect before the offer is accepted, so that they can be reflected in the fee you agree.
See clause 9 of the Terms of Service and our Prohibited Items policy.
4. Airline rules
Most airlines, and airport security rules in most countries, prohibit passengers from carrying an item on behalf of a person they do not know. You will be asked about this at check-in and you must answer truthfully.
You are responsible for checking the rules of your airline and of every airport on your route. Tezly does not check these for you.
You must not act as a Carrier if you do not have sole control of your baggage.
5. There is no insurance
Tezly does not insure any item. If an item is lost, stolen, damaged or seized, Tezly pays no compensation to anyone.
Once you have accepted a package and the pickup photo has been taken, the item is in your care until delivery is confirmed. Any claim about the item is a matter between you and the Sender.
If you want cover, arrange your own insurance.
6. Payment
You agree the fee directly with the Sender and are paid directly by them. Tezly does not collect, hold or transfer that money, and takes no commission from it.
Tezly cannot help you recover an unpaid fee.
Any tax due on what you earn is your responsibility to declare and pay.
7. What you must not carry
You must not carry anything listed as prohibited in our Prohibited Items policy, or anything that is unlawful in the country of departure, any country of transit, or the country of destination.
Some items are subject to conditions rather than a prohibition. These are set out in the same policy.
8. If you breach this agreement
Your listing may be removed, your account may be suspended or terminated, and where the law requires it we may report the matter to the authorities. You may be personally liable for any fine, penalty or legal consequence.
